Celebrations in other Cultures

I believe that Oktoberfest celebrations in the Munich city are one of the most traditional celebrations in Germany, dating back to 1810. Firstly, this even began to celebrate wedding between Crown Prince of Bavaria and princess Theresa of Saxony. Also, it was an oportunity to foment and exhibit national proud.

In the same way, Oktoberfest has undergone several changes. Nowadays, it's not just a horse race; it's also a beer concession, and it has been a great success, becoming an essential part of festivities. Beer consumption has increased, just as the number of attendees increases every year. In Munich alone, 6 to 7 million liters of beer are consumed, and more than 7 million people visit. Yet, it gains more popularity every day, being celebrated throughout the country as a German heritage.

In summary, this festivity, filled with special regional traditions, includes traditional costumes, typical food such as the famous german sausage, folk music and, of course, the beer that cannot be missing. It is becoming more famous every day and is celebrated in several countries around the world, including Colombia, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and others
